Great video. I can get a froth of sorts when I make my matcha but nowhere near as thick or smooth as yours. Any ideas? I don’t sieve the matcha or use a steep sided bowl like yours, just a normal bowl, but I use a chasen. Do these things make the difference?

Sifting and a steep sided bowl do help. The brisk motion of the whisk is also a big factor. I have found that the ideal whisking time is about 15 seconds. All the foam will appear in this amount of time and any further whisking only reduces foam and imparts more bitterness into the bowl of matcha.
Best of luck in your frothing!
